Sewer Line Service: Video Inspection and Line Location

In between your toilets and drains and the main city sewer connection is a whole lotta mystery within the maze of sewer pipes that runs behind drywall and underneath your structure’s flooring, concrete slabs and landscaping. Sewer Lines typically back up with little warning, when waste water drainage begins to slow before stopping completely. Trained ACE Plumbing & Rooter sewer line specialists use waterproof video cameras and remote transmitters to identify the cause or causes of the blockage, and pinpoint the exact location of each with clarity and precision.

What causes sewer line backups?

Just about anything that can fit down a drain may cause a backup. Anything such as grease, food waste, wadded paper towel or toilet paper, wet wipes (including ones labeled “flushable”), hygiene products, garbage, and items flushed by mistake.

Mother nature and human nature can also be culprits.

  • Tree and shrub roots can break through and clog pipes
  • Ground shifts after heavy rains or earthquakes, aftershocks and tremors
  • Construction may accidentally disturb or damage lines when drilling nearby
  • Homeowners or tenants may accidentally disturb lines when making home improvements

EMERGENCY SERVICES

Having an urgent problem and can’t wait? We will call you.

Sewer Line Service: Video Inspection and Line Location

When is the best time to get a sewer line video inspection?

The moment you detect a problem, or better yet, with pre-scheduled preventative maintenance!

If you witness slower than normal drainage or detect lingering odors around your toilets or drains, give ACE a call. Our waterproof video cameras will light up and document the source of the leak so that we can implement the best remedy on the spot.

If the pipe is broken, cracked, or damaged, our 500mhz transmitter can tell us exactly where to access the pipe, to minimize intrusion to walls, floors, slabs, or landscaping. In rare cases, above average sewer line depth or significant metal, stone or concrete obstructions may block the transmitter signal.

BUYING OR SELLING A HOME? AVOID SURPRISES BY KNOWING YOUR SEWER LINE HEALTH

If you’re buying a commercial or residential property – a video line inspection is a wise investment. Detect major repair issues before you negotiate the final deal, in many cases the seller can pay for or credit the cost of repair. If you’re selling a property, avoid surprises by documenting the integrity of your sewer line in advance. A certified and dated video copy of the ACE inspection report (available upon request) can be a great selling tool!
